Reiki Grids

My Use of Grids for Reiki

Since I focus primarily on distance reiki and am not with the individual client to use the traditional hand positions, I use grids designed for the specific purpose and intention as the focus of the session.  I have found their use to be extremely helpful to both me and the individual receiving the reiki.

I use a number of items in building the grids in my practice including crystals, wood, flowers, stones and metals.  Each object is chosen for the positive vibration and intention being set for the healing.  Every grid is built anew for each session.

My development and use of these grids have had a profound effect in my abilities and the positive reiki energy that flows through them.  Clients have reported their sessions using the grid as a focal point bring far more clarity of intention and purpose to the energy they receive.

How do Reiki Grids Work for Distance Healing?

Acting as a focus the grids amplifies the amount of healing reiki energy I can channel.  The grid allows a deeper connection to the primal nature of reiki, easing the flow of energy.  The deeper connection the grid permits allows for more clarity of purpose and intention which in turn allows for more positive energy.  And more healing.

Before each session I spend a time meditating to set the intention and bring my own energy into focus.  Then, I build the grid based on the need and intention that was set.  After the grid is whole, I do breathing exercises to clear and balance my chakras.  Using the grid as the focal point, I perform the session, moving my hands over each of the items in the grid as I would move them along a clients body in a normal session.  I allow the natural flow of the reiki energy to guide my work.  At the end of the session, I give thanks and meditate again.

What is a Reiki Group Session?

A group session offers many more possibilities for healing and growth as each person’s energy and intention joins the whole.  While the physical process for a group session is much the same, the amount of reiki energy channeled amplifies with each person’s positive vibrations.  The effect can be amazing, like a snowball the gathers strength as it funnels through each person.  While the number of people that can be included in a group session is not limited, I try to limit the total to fifteen or under.

Again, before each session, I spend time in meditation setting the intention and purpose.  Each group session has a specific purpose, whether it be healing, peace, transcendence or something else.  Then I carefully build the grid choosing each item for their high vibrational nature.  Once the grid is whole, I do breathing exercises to clear and balance my chakras.  Using the grid as the focal point, I perform the session, naming each of the person in the group to bring clarity of purpose.  Moving my hands over the grid, I allow the natural flow of the reiki energy to guide my work. With a group, I will spend additional time in any area of the grid where I sense additional energy is needed.

What is an Individual Distance Session?

While a group session has a more general intention and purpose, with an individual session I can tailor the reiki energy with precise focus.  This can be any specific area that a client feels needs attention, whether spiritual, physical or mental.  These sessions can be far more intense with increased energy flow and benefits.

The process for an individual session is similar to a group session.  I spend time in meditation, framing the specific purpose and intention for the session after consulting with the client.  The reiki grid is built carefully, reflecting the intention to allow for the optimal flow of positive energy for the client.  Using the completed grid, I do breathing exercises to clear and balance my own chakras to improve the energy stream.  The grid serves as the focus, I move my hands over the grid slowly and channel the reiki energy through the grid.  Any area where I feel a blockage or slowdown in the reiki flow, I spend extra time with.

What to Expect after a Reiki Session?

There can be any number of responses to a reiki session. Some clients report immediate sensations and a feeling of warmth.  One client talked about feeling akin to warm water washing over them.  With some, they make simply feel rested or sleepy.  Others may not feel anything right away but will experience sensations of liberation or happiness over the next several days or week.  There is no right or correct response to a session.  Reiki energy will always find it’s way to your higher good.
